The Spring Fling Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

First of all, I hope I'm not too late, because I'm in a different time zone. BUT, luckily, when I googled the date in USA, it thankfully informs me that, over at the other side of the world, it is still the 21st of April! So, in a way, I'm just in time(?)!

So I'm supposed to choose a book that I'd give up anything for. A book that steals my breath, captures my heart. It's actually VERY difficult for me to choose, but in the end, I stuck with:

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

I chose this one because it literally did steal my breath. I was hyperventilating after I finished reading it! And it not only captured my heart, it broke it, tore it apart and then stomped it into pieces.

Blurb:

Danger and betrayal, love and loss, secrets and enchantment are woven together in the breathtaking finale to the #1 New York Times bestselling Infernal Devices Trilogy, prequel to the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series.

THE INFERNAL DEVICES WILL NEVER STOP COMING

A net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. Mortmain plans to use his Infernal Devices, an army of pitiless automatons, to destroy the Shadowhunters. He needs only one last item to complete his plan: he needs Tessa Gray.

Charlotte Branwell, head of the London Institute, is desperate to find Mortmain before he strikes. But when Mortmain abducts Tessa, the boys who lay equal claim to her heart, Jem and Will, will do anything to save her. For though Tessa and Jem are now engaged, Will is as much in love with her as ever.

As those who love Tessa rally to rescue her from Mortmain’s clutches, Tessa realizes that the only person who can save her is herself. But can a single girl, even one who can command the power of angels, face down an entire army?

  1. The covers are so pretty, but I never got around to reading Cassandra's books. I have City of Bones (I believe this is part of another series. Can't tell. There are two series with similar covers so I can never tell) on my shelf right now. Would your highly recommend it? Because I don't want to read it if it's just "okay." I have ten other books to work on haha.

Oh, visit my Spring Fling post too? :D
